Eric Shin, the principal percussionist of the National Symphony Orchestra, founded SeoulSpice to make Korean food more accessible, blending family recipes with a modern fast-casual format.
Having trained at Juilliard and introduced friends to Korean cuisine, Shin aimed to create a less intimidating dining experience through a simplified menu and fast-casual environment.
Shin reflects on the discipline of musicianship, stating, "Musicians have this type of discipline and diligence... it's not surprising that musicians also excel at other passions and hobbies."
With investment from Invus Group, SeoulSpice plans to expand beyond its current seven locations, highlighting the success of merging culinary passion with business savvy.
