Gardaí arrested three women in their 20s after seizing six pipe bombs and €29,000 worth of drugs during a search in Ballinasloe, Co Galway.
During the search in Menlough, officers retrieved viable improvised explosive devices, €20,000 worth of cocaine, €9,000 worth of cannabis, and other drug paraphernalia.
A follow-up search led to the seizure of over €9,400 in cash and two mobile phones, prompting ongoing investigations and a file being prepared for legal proceedings.
One of the arrested women has been released, while the other two remain detained at a garda station as police continue their investigations.
