One of the most important things you can do as a parent is to set clear, consistent boundaries. It's easy to give in to the urge to rescue your adult child when they're struggling, but doing so can unintentionally prevent them from taking responsibility for their actions.
Instead of solving the issue, show empathy and be there to listen. Instead, help them reflect on their feelings and explore solutions on their own, fostering a sense of independence and responsibility.
