GM is partnering with ChargePoint to create an expansive EV charging network, aiming to install up to 500 DC fast-charging ports across strategic U.S. locations by 2025.
ChargePoint will provide its Omni Port technology, which facilitates connections for multiple vehicle standards, allowing EV owners to charge without needing an adapter.
GM Energy's VP Wade Sheffer mentioned, 'With ultra-fast charging, Omni Port technology, and excellent customer experiences, this collaboration should spark excitement among EV drivers and the EV-curious.'
Besides the ChargePoint partnership, GM is collaborating with EVgo and building chargers in conjunction with brands like Flying J and Pilot, highlighting a broader commitment to EV infrastructure.
