Plans have been submitted to Bromley Council to convert the former Carpetright store at 113 Bromley High Street into a Taco Bell restaurant. The conversion, estimated to cost up to £2 million, would create 36 jobs and modernize the space with various alterations, including new signage and facilities. If approved, construction would start in April and be completed by August, allowing the restaurant to operate seven days a week from 11am to 11pm. Taco Bell currently has branches in Lewisham and two other locations in south London.
If plans go ahead, work would commence to convert the 201-square metre shop from a retail space into a restaurant and hot food takeaway, which is anticipated to create 36 jobs in Bromley.
Plans revealed the current building would require a number of alterations to the shopfront, including a replacement door, LED strip lighting surround and illuminated signage, as well as five new condenser units and two louvres to the back of the shop.
