"Eya" House / TARA Arquitectura
Briefly

The "Eya" house is a thoughtful architectural response that preexists on the site, actively adapting to the context while honoring the cultural and natural heritage of Yucatán.
This project revives ancestral techniques, utilizing regional materials and artisanal craftsmanship, thus merging traditional approaches with contemporary architectural practices to foster a deeper connection with nature.
Central to "Eya" is its garden, designed as an offering to nature. Pilasters direct rainwater towards this space, symbolizing the cycle of water and life.
"Eya" emphasizes a sensory experience, where light, air, vegetation, and sound enhance the living experience, making architecture not just a shelter but a form of connectedness with the environment.
