YouTube is introducing a system to conduct automatic reviews of videos flagged for limited ad placements to enhance monetization accuracy and speed. This initiative aims to alleviate creators' frustrations by ensuring that errors in ad placements are corrected faster. Initially, this will be rolled out to a small group of creators, with the potential for broader implementation in the future. The changes will allow for reviews of even private videos and may lead to monetization decisions taking up to 24 hours.
To improve the accuracy of our yellow icon decisions and get your videos monetizing faster, we are experimenting with automatically sending videos that receive a "Limited or no ads" rating for an additional review.
This means that in some cases, we may review a newly uploaded video, even if visibility is set to private, and some monetization decisions may take up to 24 hours.
