An interactive exhibition at the Oxford Brookes University Think Human festival showcased young people's varied experiences with hybrid work. Featuring insights from recent graduates, the event emphasized both the challenges and benefits of this flexible work model. Research lead Sylwia Ciuk stated that the initiative aimed to promote diversity in workplace practices, with a focus on gaining input from Gen Z employees. The feedback indicated that while many young individuals appreciate the empowerment and flexibility hybrid work offers, there are still significant challenges related to mental health and support in the workplace that require attention and policy adjustments.
As recent business management graduate Kofi Owusu-Aidoo noted, many young people enjoy the flexibility of hybrid work, emphasizing its empowerment and the trust it fosters.
Creative director Mitaali Katoch expressed hopes that the research will influence policy, highlighting the need for guidelines that promote diversity in hybrid workplace practices.
