Badmaash, a celebrated modern Indian restaurant, is expanding to Venice this summer, taking over the former Yours Truly space. "There will be no English on the front of the building," says Nakul Mahendro, highlighting the focus on appealing to the South Asian community through design.
"People are just wiser about what they're putting in their bodies... We’re more thoughtful about types of preparations and how they affect your mood or how you feel," Mahendro explains the new culinary direction.
Mahendro expresses a belief in providing great Indian food to every neighborhood, indicating their continuous effort to reach broader audiences.
The new Badmaash will feature a bright sign and shift towards lighter, fresher dishes, departing from the carb-heavy approach of its original menu.
