Taking a daily multivitamin may be the key to a sharper memory. Here's what to look for in a supplement
Briefly

According to new research from Columbia University, taking a daily multivitamin can significantly slow age-related memory decline in older adults.
Study leader Adam M. Brickman stated, "Cognitive aging is a top health concern for older adults, and this study suggests there may be a simple, inexpensive way to help older adults slow down memory decline."
The study showed that after a year, memory improved for participants taking a daily multivitamin, with benefits sustained over three years, equating to three years of age-related decline.
Brickman added, "There is evidence that people with cardiovascular disease may have lower micronutrient levels that multivitamins may correct, but we don't really know why the effect is stronger in this group."
