Djelissa Latini and Amélie Warnault, co-founders of Odds Studio, have embraced their passion for food through their work with Lolo, a family-run Spanish ham brand. Tasked with refreshing Lolo's image, the duo dug into Spanish design histories, creating a bold new logo inspired by boutique signage. Their objective was to maintain the warmth of family tradition while making the brand relatable and inviting to newcomers. Through this redesign, they wished to evoke feelings of conviviality and the joy of shared meals, contrasting the seriousness often found in high-end products.
"Their deep connection to Spanish culture - rooted in their family history - was a key inspiration for us," shares Djelissa.
"We took inspiration from old boutique signage to reflect the authenticity that was so important to the founders," explains Amélie.
"We wanted to infuse the brand with a sense of conviviality, generosity, and the joy of gathering around a big table with family and friends."
"High-end products often tend to be quite serious and lack any sense of fun," she continues.
