Snarkitecture has revitalized an abandoned storage space in Athens, creating One Burger, a sculptural dining venue that integrates topographic design elements. Measuring 80 square meters, the space contrasts rugged stone with smooth, cream-colored contours, forming a canyon-like landscape. The bespoke seating and tables align with the terrain-inspired aesthetic, while a sculptural canopy provides shade and visual rhythm. This design not only enhances the eating experience but also serves as a prototype for civic dining, aiming to foster human connection through a simple act—sharing a meal.
This design proposal serves not just as an eatery but as a prototype for civic dining, where the experience of eating is redefined into an engaging spatial encounter.
The transformed lot, with its rugged stone walls juxtaposed against the smooth, cream-toned contours, creates a visually striking landscape reminiscent of eroded terrain.
