Briefly

The article describes the frustrations of a host, who enjoys planning and preparing meals for her friend Nora and her husband during their visits. Despite the host's clear intentions and preparation, Nora insists on cooking, which disrupts the host's plans and leads to additional chaos. The host's attempt to establish boundaries is met with resistance, culminating in a confrontation that leaves her feeling undermined in her own home. The situation raises questions about hospitality and respect in friendships, especially around the dynamics of cooking and entertaining.

I tried to politely tell her no, she is my guest and it is my pleasure to serve her, but she argues that she is trying to help.
