Villa Aurea / Studio Saxe
Briefly

Studio Saxe utilizes an intentional design approach that harmonizes architectural elements with the natural contours of the land. The project features a curved roof that mirrors the terrain, creating a pavilion-like atmosphere. Individual volumes within the design promote cross-ventilation and utilize sustainable materials like local timber and stone, which enhance the architectural authenticity and environmental integration. An innovative construction method capitalizes on the site's rock foundation, with minimal disturbance to the land, resulting in a design that emerges naturally from its surroundings.
By designing independent volumes within the home, we successfully implemented cross-ventilation throughout, reducing interior temperatures.
The strategic use of local laminated timber and stone not only contextualizes the architecture to its location but also imbues the structure with authenticity.
