For the first time since the pandemic hit, Japan's ski slopes are crowded again, filled with Australians, Hong Kongers and other tourists who for the past two seasons were unable to enjoy the world-famous powder snow sometimes rather cringingly referred to as "Japow."But despite being perhaps one of the last great snow destinations, increasingly fewer Japanese are to be found on the country's finest slopes.
