LinkedIn Is Testing an AI Tool That Could Transform How People Search for Jobs
Briefly

LinkedIn is introducing a new AI-centric tool designed to improve job searches by utilizing a custom large language model to analyze extensive data. This innovation aims to assist users in uncovering job opportunities they may not typically find through conventional keyword searches. CEO Ryan Roslansky emphasized that the AI can reveal relevant roles previously beyond users' awareness. Currently in testing, the tool can process diverse search queries, enabling a more profound understanding of job descriptions and necessary skills for prospective roles.
"The reality is, you don't find your dream job by checking a set of keywords," the company's CEO, Ryan Roslansky, told WIRED in a statement.
"We are really using LLMs throughout the entire stack of our search and recommender system, all the way from query understanding to retrieval to ranking," says Rohan Rajiv, a director of product at LinkedIn.
