Major Suspension And Steering Issue Prompts Ford F-150 Lightning Recall
Briefly

Ford is recalling nearly 12,000 F-150 Lightnings due to a problem with improperly torqued ball joint nuts that could lead to a loss of steering.
The issue stems from front suspension components that may not have been tightened correctly at the factory, risking serious accidents involving steering loss.
Only one accident has been reported so far, involving a truck that was less than 700 miles old, where the steering knuckle separated.
Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the upper control arm ball joint nut and/or the knuckle assembly at no cost to owners.
