Female firefighters and lifeguards in Los Angeles County have raised concerns about ill-fitting uniforms designed for men, which impede their movement and increase their risk of injury.
The Board of Supervisors has passed a motion demanding that the county Fire Department develop a plan within 60 days to offer female firefighters, paramedics, and lifeguards uniforms and personal protective equipment made to fit them. [ more ]
