The $2 billion overhaul included 375 new hotel rooms that balance modern luxury with Art Deco heritage, an ultra-luxurious Empire Suite, new restaurants, and a fully restored ballroom and famous clock. The only thing missing was a spa - until now. Earlier this month, the hotel unveiled the Guerlain Wellness Spa, a 22,000-square-foot destination that's not only the property's new centerpiece, but the largest Guerlain spa in the world. It's also a statement about where high-end wellness is headed in New York City.

The Waldorf Astoria in New York City reopened in July after an eight-year, $2 billion restoration. Residents of its new luxury condominiums gain access to exclusive amenities such as the Empire Club. The business center and lounge features private offices, curated artwork, and 24-hour room service. At the Empire Club, a luxe business center and lounge open only to Waldorf Astoria residents, the hotel's 24/7 room service means you never have to label your lunch in the office fridge.

A good line to borrow for the agents now selling some of the 372 condominiums on the upper floors of the newly reopened Waldorf Astoria Residences. What the Waldorf is marketing as the "First-Ever Presidential Library Amenity" is a private bar and club for residents designed by Jean-Louis Deniot that has pale gray and white couches, brassy accents, and built-ins that hold a library curated by the White House Historical Association.

One of the highlights of the evening was a speech given by Ryan Lin, a BCNY member who started out as an ambitious kid, got into Hunter High School, and is currently attending NYU, with BCNY support throughout his journey. Filled with gratitude, Lin ended his speech by brilliantly letting us know he was looking for a summer internship within the finance industry.
