Waldorf Astoria New York Unveils the World's Largest Guerlain Spa After $2 Billion Revival
"The $2 billion overhaul included 375 new hotel rooms that balance modern luxury with Art Deco heritage, an ultra-luxurious Empire Suite, new restaurants, and a fully restored ballroom and famous clock. The only thing missing was a spa - until now. Earlier this month, the hotel unveiled the Guerlain Wellness Spa, a 22,000-square-foot destination that's not only the property's new centerpiece, but the largest Guerlain spa in the world. It's also a statement about where high-end wellness is headed in New York City."
"Located on the hotel's fifth floor, the spa includes 16 treatment rooms, including two VIP double suites, that anchor a circuit of advanced facilities: a cryotherapy chamber, Moroccan hammam, infrared sauna, arctic snow cave, vibroacoustic relaxation lounges, and immersive VR environments. It's an ambitious project, one that's choreographed around Guerlain's four wellness pillars of nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness. "These four pillars form the architecture of the entire guest journey," Davody explains."
Waldorf Astoria New York completed a $2 billion renovation adding 375 rooms, an Empire Suite, new restaurants, and a restored ballroom and clock. The property added a 22,000-square-foot Guerlain Wellness Spa, the largest Guerlain spa globally. The spa occupies the fifth floor and features 16 treatment rooms, including two VIP double suites, plus a cryotherapy chamber, Moroccan hammam, infrared sauna, arctic snow cave, vibroacoustic relaxation lounges, and immersive VR environments. Programming centers on four wellness pillars — nutrition, movement, sleep, and mindfulness — while interiors interpolate the hotel's Art Deco heritage with Guerlain's Parisian, sensory design language.
