My rough sense is 30% to 40% of one-to-two call sales reps are going to be replaced by AI. Microsoft is doing what other companies are only thinking about.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported a growth of 147,000 nonfarm payrolls in June, contradicting the ADP report indicating a reduction of 33,000 jobs.

Blizzard announced it will cease development on new content for Warcraft Rumble, although support will continue through updates focused on in-game events and bug fixes.

"A significant portion of [the redundancies] are in Washington state, in the US, the heartland of Microsoft headquarters. It comes at quite an interesting period for Microsoft - they've been performing well, they're really bullish on their AI investments at the moment. But again, another round of layoffs and it must be really demoralizing for people not only at Microsoft ... but across the tech industry to see this still continuing."
