Lacy, who is second in the FBS with 21 rushing touchdowns and second in the SEC with 1,366 rushing yards, injured his shoulder in the first half of the No. 6 Rebels' 41-10 victory against Tulane in a CFP first-round game on Dec. 20. Lacy's availability was one of the biggest storylines heading into Thursday's contest. He scored two touchdowns and ran for 31 yards in a 43-35 loss at Georgia on Oct. 11.
Whom should you start? Whom should you sit? With the Eagles losing to the Chargers on Monday night, the Cowboys still have a slim chance of winning the NFC East, still back 1.5 games with 4 to play. Dallas has to win out, clearly, and the Eagles have to lose two of the remaining games. They play the Raiders this week, and the Commanders twice and the Bills. I trust the Bills to beat them, but can Dan Quinn do us all a favor and win one of those games with Jayden Daniels?
The Buffalo Bills will be getting some important linemen back for their AFC East matchup against the New England Patriots, with defensive end Joey Bosa and right tackle Spencer Brown set to play Sunday. Bosa missed last week's win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a hamstring injury, and Brown missed the past two games with a shoulder injury. Neither had an injury designation on Friday's report, the last of the week. "It's good, yeah, we rolling this Sunday," Brown said earlier in the week.
Between the sophomore slump for Bub Carrington, lackluster play from veterans and the inconsistent start to Cam Whitmore's tenure in the DMV, the Wizards woes have come at the hands of several factors. However, arguably the biggest reason for the team's struggles can be linked to the fact that Washington has been plagued by an injury bug that simply just won't go away.
Alabama tailback Jam Miller is facing long odds to play in Saturday's SEC Championship game against Georgia, sources tell ESPN's Pete Thamel. Miller, who has 493 yards rushing on 123 carries this season, is dealing with an apparent lower-leg injury suffered in last week's Iron Bowl win over SEC rival Auburn. He was seen after the game leaving Jordan Hare Stadium on crutches.
Antonio Conte could be without Stanislav Lobotka for Napoli's Serie A match against Juventus this weekend after the midfielder suffered a muscle injury on Wednesday. Lobotka was set to be on the bench for Napoli's Coppa Italia tie against Cagliari, but he picked up a leg injury during the warm-up and was forced to miss the game. Conte's side won 9-8 on penalties after the match finished 1-1 in normal time, with Lorenzo Lucca on target for Napoli.
The Celtics listed Jaylen Brown as doubtful for Thursday's matchup against the Wizards on their latest injury report, citing a non-COVID illness. Brown has played in all 21 of the Celtics' games so far this season. He scored a season-high 42 points against the Knicks on Tuesday night. If he winds up missing the Washington game, it will be the first time these young Celtics will play without Brown this season.
Cleveland Browns starting defensive tackle Maliek Collins is out for the remainder of the season with a quad injury that will require surgery, coach Kevin Stefanski announced Monday. Collins suffered the injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 26-8 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers. He left the field on a cart and was later ruled out for the rest of the game.
"He looked good today so he is trending to play," Bowles said after practice. "He had to get well. He was very limited on Wednesday, he did a little more yesterday and he moved around perfectly today, so he's fine."
Colts quarterback Daniel Jones is battling a fibula injury but insists he will be ready for Sunday's key AFC South matchup with the Houston Texans. This comes amid a report from NFL Network that Jones is dealing with a fracture but plans to play through it. The Colts would not confirm or deny the report but a team source told ESPN that Jones will be listed as a full participant on Thursday's injury report after being listed as "limited" on Wednesday.
