An old box from 1967 shows that Ding Dongs used to be made from sugar, shortening, flour, water, cocoa, chocolate, nonfat dry milk, corn syrup, eggs, leavening, salt, starch, lecithin, mono and diglycerides, gelatin, and flavor.
