Washington Wizards center Alex Sarr has sustained a right hamstring strain and will miss approximately two weeks, the team announced Thursday. Sarr, one of three players averaging at least 17 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks per game this season, will miss Friday's Rising Stars game. He did not play in the Wizards' 138-113 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday with what the team called right hamstring tightness.

"Frank has always been a team-first guy and is a true warrior," the team said in a statement. "He will forever be a Lion."

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels will not play in Monday night's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, a source told ESPN's John Keim and Jeremy Fowler. Daniels is suffering from a low-grade right hamstring strain, a source told ESPN. It is not considered a long-term injury, but the Commanders don't want him to tweak it, a source said. Marcus Mariota will start against the Chiefs.

Jorge Mateo is dealing with a hamstring strain and is expected to be sidelined for 8 to 12 weeks. He is already on the 10-day injured list for a different injury.
