Four-time Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow failed his physical and will not play for the Detroit Lions this season. Ragnow planned to come out of retirement but did not meet the team's medical requirement after reporting to the facility. Detroit's medical staff diagnosed a Grade 3 hamstring strain that will keep him sidelined. Ragnow, 29, retired in June after seven NFL seasons in which he battled multiple injuries. The Lions retain his contractual rights for this season and next. Head coach Dan Campbell expressed enthusiasm about Ragnow's desire to return, noting his production, leadership, and value as a captain and teammate.
