Paramount Skydance has asked most of its employees to return to the office five days a week, and now it's asking them how in-person work is going. David Ellison's company asked employees to grade its RTO efforts by filling out a quick survey asking for feedback on "what's working well and where we can improve to better support" its staffers.
Verge's new initiative helps organizations gain clarity about their direction and offerings. The organization provides an employee survey to assess organizational health.
Mikko Uotila, country director for SD Worx in Finland, said the shift reflects the impact of digital working life on traditional rest periods. "Smartphones and email have made full disconnection almost impossible. Even checking emails once or twice a week means work is always present," Uotila said. Only 15 percent of respondents reported being able to fully disconnect from work during holidays. Nearly half said they checked emails at least once a week while on leave.
