According to Alinea's newsletter by Rhys Elliott, Saros has sold over 300k copies in its first two weeks of release, bringing in about $22m in revenue for Housemarque and Sony, a small dent in its report $76 million budget.

A new trailer put out by Warner Bros has confirmed the game's new release date will be May 22nd, a full week ahead of its originally planned May 29 launch date. The company has also confirmed that those who buy the deluxe edition of the game will now receive early access starting May 19.

Liminal spaces and the "backrooms" have become overused concepts on the internet, with people labeling any room or area that is even slightly off as some creepy space. It's annoying and tiring. But I still like the idea of eerie, dead areas hidden in our world in places like forgotten hallways and empty hotel rooms. I also like fast-paced boomer shooters that feel great.

Has there ever been a better time to be a PC gamer than right now? Sure, the sheer number of games available to play made deciding on one hard, but whether you're sitting down in front of a custom-built gaming rig or you've purchased a handheld PC for some bedtime fun, there's bound to be something that catches your eye.

"Baldur's Gate 3 was a good game and I'm proud of it, but I think this one is going to be way better," Vincke told Bloomberg this week. One challenge during its development was taking the existing rule set for Wizards of the Coast's pen-and-paper RPG and adapting it to a video game. "Here, we're making a system that's made for a video game. It's much easier to understand," he explained.

We are truly sorry for the last-minute announcement. After thoughtful consideration, we feel it's best for the game and the community. In the lead-up to Early Access release, we broadened our playtests with a more varied playerbase, and the latest feedback we received made us realise the game isn't up to the standard we wanted it to meet for release.

As we wrap up our work on Hyper Light Breaker, we've had to make the difficult decision to part with a number of talented team members. This was not our ideal path, but rather the only one available given the circumstances. While this path will include a conclusion on the project, it reflects broader forces beyond our control, including shifts in funding, corporate consolidation and the uncertain environment many small studios like us are navigating today.

The game has its official global release on September 25, but people who preorder the digital deluxe edition ($80) can start playing two days earlier on September 23.
