Jump Space Heads To The Early-Access Docking Bay Next Month
Briefly

Keepsake Games renamed the project to Jump Space after a trademark conflict with its previous title. Early access begins September 19. The game supports up to four players cooperating as ship crew to control and repair their vessel, perform space walks, and explore planets. The experience can be played solo but emphasizes teamwork. Jump Space is purely PvE, with encounters that may force combat both on-foot and while piloting the ship. The game features handcrafted missions combined with random elements to vary each run. Jump Space has over one million Steam wishlist entries and will release on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Last year, Keepsake Games had to re-title its upcoming co-op game Jump Space because its previous name, Jump Ship, had trademark issues. Now, Jump Space is heading to early access next month, and the trailer for the game offers a glimpse of the interstellar adventures that lie ahead. As noted in the trailer, early access for Jump Space will begin on September 19.
Jump Space is solely a PvE experience, so players won't have to worry about fighting each other in PvP battles. There will be times when players have no other options than to shoot their way out of trouble, as they can encounter enemies on-foot and while piloting the ship into combat. Keepsake Games has also noted that Jump Space will feature several "handcrafted missions with random elements," which should make each run a unique experience.
