Hello everybody, welcome to the Game Thread for the #162 of the 2025 season, which thankfully doesn't hold any playoff significance, but does hold significance because it's the last time Clayton Kershaw will make a regular season start and appearance in his career before he retires.

Smith has remained active, but Dalton Rushing was put on the 10-day injured list Saturday. Rushing was removed from the series opener against the Baltimore Orioles after fouling a pitch off his right knee/shin. An X-ray on Friday night came back negative and follow-up CT scan also did not reveal any sort of fracture. Rushing nevertheless is now due to miss time because of what Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has deemed a deep bone bruise in his right shin.

Rortvedt joins the Dodgers for the first time since being acquired by the club as part of a three-team trade with the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds on July 31. The Dodgers added Rortvedt to replace Hunter Feduccia as the third catcher on their organizational depth chart. He now gets a chance with the MLB club as Will Smith deals with a right-hand injury after being hit by a foul ball.
