Dodgers re-sign Evan Phillips to 1-year, $6.5 million deal in expected move

"He began the 2025 season on the IL before being activated on April 19. He lasted all of 5 2/3 innings before hitting the 15-day IL again with right forearm discomfort. He was moved to the 60-day IL with the same injury at the end of May before undergoing Tommy John surgery. He was non-tendered back in November and only the Red Sox showed any interest in him on the free-agent market. With the injury, it always seemed like if he was going to sign a contract for 2026, it'd be with the Dodgers."
