Max Muncy back with Dodgers after missing time with oblique strain
"Robinson returns to the Comets after being recalled by the Dodgers last week when Dalton Rushing was placed on the 10-day IL due to a right shin contusion. Robinson has not appeared in a game for the Dodgers since being claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Angels on May 31, when Tyler Glasnow was transferred to the 60-day IL. The Dodgers designated Robinson for assignment on June 3 but he cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A."
"Now healthy again, the Dodgers hope Muncy's second return from the IL this season is just as impactful as his first. Muncy hit a scorching .348/.531/.870 with eight doubles, four home runs and nine RBI in eight games during the month of August before his oblique injury. Overall, Muncy is hitting .258/.389/.491 with 10 doubles, two triples, 17 home runs and 64 RBI in 89 games this year."
Max Muncy was activated off the 10-day injured list and returned to the Dodgers after a Grade 1 right oblique strain and an earlier left knee bone bruise. Chuckie Robinson was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City after a brief recall when Dalton Rushing went on the 10-day IL. Robinson had been claimed off waivers May 31, later designated for assignment June 3, cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment, and has hit .259/.344/.361 with five doubles, four home runs, 28 RBI and 43 runs in 47 Comets games. Muncy went 2-for-7 on a rehab stint, enjoyed an .348/.531/.870 August stretch, and owns a .258/.389/.491 line with 17 homers and a .880 OPS this year.
