Riot Games has a pretty long legacy as a PC gaming studio, but the company is spreading out into consoles with its newest title. 2XKO will land on consoles on January 20, to coincide with the start of its first season. The game will be available globally for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with cross-play support, allowing current players to access their existing progress on a PC account.
The French developer announced the new update on September 17. Taking to the game's official website, Sloclap said Patch 1.201.000, which is Rematch's season one update, goes into beta on the same day, with the full release tentatively scheduled for September 23. Although one of the headlining features is the addition of cross-platform play, the team also highlighted the "long-awaited" 3v3 ranked mode, alongside new cosmetics, customization options, and quality-of-life adjustments.
Iron Gate's hit survival game sold more than 1 million copies in its first week on Steam, and has since sold more than 12 million total. It currently features cross-play between Xbox and PC and is an Xbox "Play Anywhere" title, meaning purchasing Valheim on Xbox consoles or on PC via the Microsoft Store also grants access to the game on both platforms. It's currently unclear if Valheim on PlayStation will support cross-play between all platforms.
EA's long-awaited Skate revival is launching this week in early access, but when exactly can you start playing? Developer Full Circle has now published the global launch times so you can hop in precisely when the servers go live on September 16 (or September 17 depending on where you live). The original Skate came out in 2007, with sequels Skate 2 and Skate 3 arriving in 2009 and 2010, respectively. A mobile game, Skate It, launched in 2008.
