Shortstop Ha-Seong Kim is returning to the Atlanta Braves, agreeing Monday to a $20 million, one-year contract. Kim gets a $4 million raise. He had declined a $16 million player option from the $29 million, two-year contract he agreed to in February with Tampa Bay, a deal that paid him $13 million. The Braves announced the new deal with Kim on Monday night.
The Tigers and right-hander Drew Anderson have agreed to a deal, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. It's a one-year pact with a club option for 2027. The salary figures haven't yet been publicly reported. Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic reports that the Tigers expect the righty to be a starter, as he has been doing in Korea for the past couple of years. The Tigers have a 40-man vacancy and won't need to make a corresponding move.
Right-hander Cody Ponce and the Toronto Blue Jays are finalizing a three-year, $30 million contract, pending a physical, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Tuesday. Ponce, 31, is a former 2015 second round pick who played briefly for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2020 and 2021 before signing overseas. He most recently won MVP of the Korea Baseball Organization after going 17-1 with a 1.89 ERA for the Hanwha Eagles. He struck out 252 in 180⅔ innings.
The Royals have signed infielder Jonathan India to a one-year, $8MM deal for the upcoming season, reports Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. India had been widely viewed as a non-tender candidate on the heels of a poor first season in Kansas City, but he'll return and hope to rebound in 2026. He'll be a free agent next offseason. India, 29 next month, posted career-worst marks in most categories during his first season as a Royal.

Nico Williams has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao to run until 2035, after his prospective move to Barcelona broke down over financial registration issues. Williams' contract includes a release clause of at least €87m, reflecting a 50% increase on his previous €58m clause.
