Charlie Wellens has signed a new two-year contract with Leyton Orient, committing him to the club until the summer of 2027 with an option for a third year dependent on appearances. He joined the club from Reading on a short-term deal in August and has scored twice in nine games this season. Wellens is a product of the Manchester United academy and said he worked hard over the summer to earn his first contract and is enjoying playing in a team with strong players. Orient sit 13th in League One and head coach Richie Wellens praised Charlie's quality, composure and intelligence while expecting ongoing improvement.
