Building a resilient career is essential in a job market influenced by AI and economic uncertainty.
What makes me so grateful to be part of Gotham is how they invested in me when I was at a low. I didn't realize it at the time, but I wasn't actually playing very well when the deal came about. The trade was abrupt and came at a difficult point in her career, yet the organization's commitment during her struggles proved pivotal.
"I always came into the season wanting to play good for the Leafs and for my teammates here and give me a chance to be on that team," Ekman-Larsson said to reporters ahead of the morning skate on Tuesday. "So I'm lying if I'm saying I haven't really thought about it, to be honest with you. But very proud of myself of being named and getting a chance. With that being said, my teammates and the organization have been able to help me out."
After graduating from high school in 2010, I enrolled at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta. I grew up in an environment where I was told that college was the only path to success, so I didn't even consider taking a different route. I quickly realized, though, that college was not the right fit for me: I struggled to balance school and my social life while working part-time jobs, and it was weighing on my mental health.
As you've probably heard, if not also experienced, AI is reshaping how we work. If you happen to be a senior professional with sufficient reputational capital, status, and a deep social network, you may be relatively safe from being displaced by AI -at least for now.
