Ms. Bobo was such a special part of our community. She brought kindness, warmth, joy, laughter, creativity, and deep care into everything she did. Whether it was supporting a student, connecting with a family, hosting a funeral for a fictional character, or collaborating with a colleague, she did so with intention and heart. She was an incredible educator and an even more incredible human being who truly valued relationships and community.

BEAUFORT, S.C. -- A mass shooting at a crowded bar on an idyllic South Carolina island has left four people dead and at least 20 injured, officials say. The shooting occurred early Sunday at Willie's Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island, officials said. A large crowd was at the scene when sheriff's deputies arrived and found several people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Jamel Childs, 35, and Marvin St. Louis, 19, seen arguing before the shooting in Taste of the City Lounge, led to their fatalities, while a bystander was also killed.
