Early Saturday morning around 3:30 am, gunfire erupted during a fight inside EZ's Lounge on 14th Street in downtown Oakland near City Hall, following the First Friday street festival. Two people were killed and five others injured. The deceased include 33-year-old Latetia Teesh Bobo, an eighth grade teacher at Caliber Beta Academy in San Pablo and music industry professional, who died at the scene, and a 25-year-old man who died at the hospital. Police indicated none of the seven victims were believed to be intended targets. Five injured individuals were hospitalized in stable condition and expected to survive. Police detained several people and confiscated multiple firearms. The Oakland Police Department's Homicide Section is investigating.
