Nearly 50 years since her last divorce, Cher is reportedly getting ready to give marriage another try, with multiple tabloids picking up on a report that says that the 79-year-old entertainment icon is set to tie the knot with her 39-year-old boyfriend, Oakland-born music producer Alexander AE Edwards. Cher doesn't give a hoot about their (40-year) age difference and they're both ready to commit to each other, an insider told the Mirror, according to Page Six and the Daily Mail.

Researchers have analysed hundreds of thousands of images from places like IMDb and Google Image Search as well as the kinds of online texts used to train large language models. They found a persistent age gap between men and women when it comes to how they are shown and talked about online.

For example, it has been found that the older people get, the more they prefer to have a younger partner if they start a new relationship. Interestingly, this effect is stronger in men than in women. Moreover, it has also been found that on average, the older partner in an age gap relationship is happier than the younger partner. This effect was especially pronounced when the older partner was a man.
