Zaha Hadid Architects Set To Transform East Naples With Striking Towers & Industrial Sites - Yanko Design
Briefly

Zaha Hadid Architects has revealed designs for two futuristic towers in Naples, integrated into the Napoli Porta Est Masterplan. These towers, characterized by a blend of glass and metal and characterized by a shared foundation, boast a connection with the surrounding landscape, including views of Mount Vesuvius. The design prioritizes natural light and thermal insulation, while an extended base and greenery promote a communal space. The project aims to revitalize over 30 hectares of neglected industrial land, providing a modern architectural presence while preserving scenic views and enhancing the urban environment.
The envelope optimizes natural elements - light, wind and panoramic views - ensuring excellent thermal insulation, reducing solar load and glare, without compromising the spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples, Vesuvius and the surrounding hills.
The facade design takes into account the movement of the sun throughout the day: north-facing openings are maximized to allow natural light to enter the buildings and enhance the views, while direct sun exposure is minimized on other facades to reduce energy requirements.
