Office P&L / Studio Tngtetshiu
Briefly

The architectural project aims to integrate new office functionalities while respecting and highlighting the character of existing warehouse buildings. By choosing to work with existing spatial typologies and structures, the design minimizes intervention, allowing for an interplay of old and new elements. The in-between space merges interior and exterior environments, creating a unique indoor courtyard that fosters a connection between different areas. Key design features include a serpentine light fixture guiding movement and adjustable curtains that define workspace zones, highlighting a strategy of bricolage rather than a unified aesthetic.
This project emphasizes the importance of economy in design by working with existing spatial typologies and minimizing intervention to highlight the original architecture's character.
The juxtaposition of timber trusses, reinforced concrete, and steel framing within the site showcases a compelling heterogeneity that reflects the city’s complex history.
