La Sirene Pavilion and Madeleine Pelletier Youth Residence / Avenier Cornejo Architectes
Briefly

La Sirène de Paris, an amateur orchestra founded in 1874, sought to secure its future with a new mixed-use building that integrates a music auditorium with housing for students and young workers. The design reflects the architectural diversity of the district, drawing inspiration from both Art Deco and modernist styles. Prioritizing sustainability, the project minimizes material waste by exposing its reinforced concrete structure, finishing it with varied textures. This approach fosters urban greenery while maintaining essential sightlines and enhancing the area's architectural dialogue.
To secure its future, the association envisioned a mixed-use building that combines a music auditorium with housing for students and young workers, ensuring cultural continuity.
Inspired by the Art Deco details of the district and the modernist horizontality of Le Méridien, the project balances solidity and permeability, creating a space where music intertwines with daily life.
