no.ma architecten revitalized a young couple's house by focusing on creating flexible spaces and seamless connections with the outdoors. The redesign included a new insulated volume, internal diagonal sightlines, and strategically placed windows to enhance views of Vlierbeek Abbey and light throughout the home. The alternating opaque and glass surfaces ensured privacy while allowing natural light to flood in. Sustainable building practices were incorporated, using upcycled materials such as plastic slats for the façade. The interior design features a mix of materials, colors, and textures to create a vibrant, unique character.
The redesign introduces a unique, flexible spatial arrangement that enhances connections between interior spaces and the surrounding garden, emphasizing light and views.
Using innovative materials and designs, the architects created a visually striking home that blends sustainability with playful and functional elements.
