The journey of healing can be complex and nonlinear, especially for those like the author who found solace in yoga. After suffering injuries that impacted daily life and personal practice, the author grappled with physical and emotional struggles. Seeking medical advice only led to uncertainty and a frustrating realization of limitations. However, through surrendering to the healing process, the author came to appreciate both yoga's physical and emotional lessons, understanding healing entails acceptance and learning from one’s experiences.
Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn't you-all of the expectations, all of the beliefs-and becoming who you are.
Yoga isn't just about movement. It's about presence. Acceptance. Surrender.
