The article narrates the author's transformative journey from being a tech sales executive to a yoga teacher. After 16 years of practicing yoga, the author embraced a 180-degree career change, finding joy in teaching early morning classes despite never being a morning person. However, the shift comes with considerable sacrifices such as losing the freedom associated with being a student, managing energy levels, and maintaining a work-life balance. The author reflects on the challenges of the new role, acknowledging both the strain and the fulfillment it brings.
