The album, 'Life, Death and Dennis Hopper', took four years to complete due to the artist's deep dive into Dennis Hopper's life, balancing other projects, and the pandemic. Initially inspired by Hopper's photography and cultural impact, the artist transformed a single song into a comprehensive album comprising 25 tracks. Collaborating with diverse voices and seeking guest contributions added depth, especially after reimagining aspects of storytelling similar to Bruce Springsteen's live performances, thereby enriching the album's narrative texture.
I started just before the pandemic but had all these other albums and box set projects, so I'd work intensely on Hopper then leave it and return with fresh ears.
A friend of mine suggested I was doing too many voices myself... and needed some guests... I got to pick between them. He did it so brilliantly.
