The US military launched air raids on more than 85 Iran-linked targets in Iraq and Syria in response to the deaths of three American soldiers in a drone attack in Jordan. The attack resulted in casualties, killing at least 18 Iran-aligned fighters according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The death toll could not be independently verified, and US officials only said the attack resulted in causalities.
UNICEF has reported that almost all of Gaza's 1.2 million children are in need of mental health support. Additionally, around 17,000 children are unaccompanied or have been separated from their families due to the conflict. The United Nations reported that 112 Palestinians were killed and 148 injured in Gaza between Thursday and Friday afternoon. Palestinian officials estimate that since October 7, over 27,000 people have been killed and 66,000 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza.
