Women often find themselves expected to give up parts of their individuality after becoming mothers, feeling constrained by societal norms that prioritize nurturing over personal passions. Many are pressured into roles that neglect their own desires.
To celebrate my 40th birthday, I decided to embark on my own adventure. It was important for me to follow my interests without having to compromise my plans for the comfort of my family.
I felt grateful to have the opportunity to travel solo for my birthday, acknowledging that not all mothers can afford such luxuries and many are simply striving for survival.
Despite battling with mom guilt, I realized I shouldn't wait for my kids to grow up to pursue my own adventures because life is unpredictable and time is limited.
