Sony Group Corp.'s PlayStation has canceled two live service games at Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games after a recent review of its project portfolio. Despite the cancellations, both studios remain valued members of the PlayStation Studios family.
While investing heavily in live service games, PlayStation has had mixed results, with 2024's Helldivers II being a hit, contrasted with several flops and canceled projects, including one based on Spider-Man.
