Cops search for brute who sucker punched senior in random Upper West Side attack
Briefly

According to law enforcement sources, the 77-year-old woman was walking in front of 27 W. 72nd St. on the Upper West Side when she was randomly attacked on Friday, Sept. 13, at around 2 p.m. Without saying a word, police said, the perp delivered the violent blow to the senior's face, striking her left eye. Authorities said the attack was unprovoked, and the victim and suspect did not know each other.
So far, no arrests have been made, but police on Wednesday released a surveillance photo and video of the suspect, who remains at large. He is described as having a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, tan pants and white sneakers.
Meanwhile, the victim sustained minor injuries, but did not go to the hospital. The attack occurred the same day an 81-year-old woman was punched in the head, also in an Upper West Side neighborhood.
