Workers fear being forced back into office, survey finds

A survey by recruitment firm Hays revealed that 38 percent of workers feel negatively affected by pressure to return to the office, particularly among women and younger employees. Female respondents reported a 42 percent negative impact on their wellbeing compared to 32 percent of male respondents. Younger workers, aged 20 to 29, expressed more concerns about office mandates than older individuals. Conversely, 84 percent of hybrid workers noted positive wellbeing effects from remote work, with a higher percentage of women (87 percent) than men (80 percent) reporting benefits.
